Old Business
Barbara Fudge provided more information on Blue Lobby Day. Blue Lobby Day is very important. This event was created to give TDW members a chance to lobby their state representatives.
New Business
Scholarship Committee: Chair, Vivian Gibson, will be mailing applications to the high schools (in Midlothian) for students to complete. Lynda Begnaud made a motion to donate $200 from the TDW General Fund in support of the 2019 scholarships. Ruthie Self suggested we hold off donating $200 from the General Fund until the Scholarship Committee contribution period closes for the year. If at that time the goal of providing $750 for each scholarship (two) falls short, than TDW could consider donating $200 from the General Fund.
Outreach Committee: Chair, Pat Paige. Still accepting donations.

Lynda Begnaud thanked Kathryn Mossom for refreshments.
2017 & 2018 Audit Report was summarized and presented by Barbara Fudge. The audit was performed by Barbara Fudge and Ruthie Self. The audit found the books accurate. Recommendations: That a copy of the audit letter verifying the starting balance should be filed in the 2019 Treasurer’s records, that the monthly Treasurer’s Report to the chapter contain more detail reflecting activity that caused changes to the account balances. The sample report contained in the Treasurer’s Handbook would be a good format model, that three months into the tenure of the new treasurer, the review committee sit with her and give their feedback regarding report and filing methodology rather than wait until year end to make her aware of review parameters and techniques.
Ruthie Self, provided an interesting fact about Slavery and ownership. Some slaves (less than one percent) were owned by other Blacks. Also, recommended reading material: Lift Every Voice and Sing.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
